    Introduction:

In this tutorial you will learn some basic Drum and Bass tricks and how to set the start up.
We will be starting with some “wicked beats” as shown in my latest tut and then we will add a few awesome Growl bassline´s
that gives the track the industrial DnB sound that we want.

This is a sample of the final sound that you will produce from this tutorial:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Start by downloading this .zip i´ve provided. Ive set up the beats and added a Sytrus with the correct settings for a growl - ivé done this to save you guys loads of time!

    TutorialStart.zip (2745)

Then you open the .flp streight from the .zip file and we are good to go!

    Step 1

Ok you´ve got the .flp file running - you´ve checked out the beats - ur amazed, hopefully.
    So lets get growling!

    Step 3

Push play and listen! Great inNi´t?

    Step 4

Now we are going to add the true DnB sound to the bass.
Which is the popular ” Give ´n  Recive ” sound which is way easier then you might think.
Click your way to the pianoroll of GROWL!(pattern 4)
Now right click as shown below(click  Note fine pitch)
    Step 4

    Step 5

Now apply something that looks like this, its  shown below

    Conclusion:

Ok that was quick, listen to it, mix around with these simple techniques by maybe making a clone of Growl as shown below
step5dnb How to make Drum & Bass track in fruity loops 8 STEP1 (Growl bass)
Redo the Alt + O in the Edit event and make another Growl bass with different settings applied. And so on…

Please pop a comment to show your appreciation(if there was any)!
More advanced classes in DnB production can and will be produced the upcoming weeks if the interest level is high enough!

    Cya!
